In each case, I discuss the background of the transaction with my clients, exploring the potential risks, and I place particular emphasis on optimizing the imposed duty. There are a number of ways how the duty can be legally reduced from the general 4%, but it is a criminal offense to include a lower-than-real purchase price in the contract, in which I am unable to participate. In justified cases, it is also possible to deposit the purchase price in part or in full to lawyer’s escrow.
